About the Project
For Kaspersky Lab's Bring on the Future, we brought Midori Kuma, the brand's iconic cybersecurity guardian, to life through character animation and CGI.
To give the character natural, expressive movement, we used motion capture technology. A professional dancer performed in a special motion capture suit, allowing us to record real human movement and transfer it to the 3D character. Our team then refined the animation, bringing Midori Kuma's personality to life through movement, rhythm and performance.
The final film combines character animation, 3D environments, lighting and compositing into a playful, energetic visual experience. You can explore the motion capture process in the behind-the-scenes video below.
